Where Does Your Turf Come From?

Our synthetic grass is manufactured in the USA. Southwest Greens is part of Shaw Industries (a Berkshire Hathaway company), and all fibers are made and processed in American Shaw plants. Advanced equipment and Lean/Six Sigma systems drive precision and durability to exceed the highest standards in the industy. When you schedule to install artificial turf with Southwest Greens, you can trust that you’re installing durable U.S.-made artificial turf.

American Manufacturing: We produce turf in Shaw’s American plants such as Dalton, Georgia. Shaw’s strategic investments and modern processes keep our fibers consistent and high-quality.

Vertical Quality Control: As part of Shaw, Southwest Greens manages every step of the supply chain. That lets us ensure consistent fiber quality and uniform color and pile height across batches, prompt attention to any product issue, and detailed traceability for faster issue resolution.

Rigorously Tested: Before any turf arrives, it’s put through rigorous in-house and field tests. We test in a 13,000 sq. ft. indoor facility and 18,000 sq. ft. of outdoor test sites to mimic extended real-world conditions. The turf is checked for fade resistance, strength, and play response, so your artificial lawn or putting green keeps its look and feel without fading over time.

CUTTING-EDGE INNOVATION

We continually refine our turf to be better-performing and long-lasting. Some of our latest developments include:

Bolt™ Fiber (High-Performance: Our Bolt fiber has a patented lightning-bolt cross-section. It resists flattening and recovers quickly, surpassing conventional wear tests by 2x. Its unique shape and curved angles reduce shininess, giving the lawn a low-luster, lifelike appearance.

HydroChill® Cooling: We offer cooling infill that reduces turf temperatures by 30–50°F. This simple water-activated technology is perfect for warm-weather lawns and putting greens, keeping the surface cool for people and pets alike.

Pet-Friendly Drainage: Our pet turf products are crafted for quick drainage and easy cleanup. Pets can play without ruining your yard. And the way our artificial grass naturally sheds pet waste prevents odor buildup and dead patches.

Creaturf™ Personalization: Want your turf to show off your identity? Our Creaturf™ program lets you add graphics, emblems, or colored elements. From custom logos on backyard putting greens to distinctive pet turf, this capability lets you design without limits.

TAILORED TO YOU

We consult with designers, golf pros, and customers to ensure our artificial turf serve real-world use cases. Feedback from golfers inspired us to develop a realistic “spring green” color that integrates naturally with fairways. Little details like this have made our products the top choice by Phoenix pro players, homeowners, and landscape architects alike.

We also create specialized systems tailored to any environment — backyard putting greens, golf courses, pet areas, playgrounds, commercial lawns, game courts.

We take fake grass installation seriously. Installation requires skill and artistry. Our synthetic turf is engineered so the ball rolls and bounces exactly like on tour-quality greens. That’s why legendary golfers like Jack Nicklaus and Annika Sörenstam trust Southwest Greens. And because our connection to Shaw gives us unmatched flexibility, we can tweak anything — from pile height to infill — to fit your project.

LOOKING AHEAD: 2026 AND BEYOND

Innovation never stops at Southwest Greens. Expect groundbreaking updates in 2026! Shaw Sports Turf revealed that the public can select new field designs and that a next-gen “Game ON” synthetic turf (made in Calhoun, GA) will roll out in 2026.

This playful spirit and technology will make their way to landscaping products soon. We can’t spill all the details yet, but you can be confident, our R&D team is working hard on the next generation of artificial grass.

Future turf will combine science with customer-driven input, so your next Southwest Greens lawn or putting green will be better than ever.
